~At the train~
Normal POV
Lucy was jolted awake by the sudden stop of the train, startling her as she snapped her eyes open.
"Ah, we only stopped," she muttered, before yawning greatly. She looked out the windows, catching a glimpse of green. "Huh? Is this my stop?" she asked herself, looking at the forest the surrounded the train station. "Well, only one way to find out." she continued before standing up and heading towards the open doors. She stepped off the cement, he feet slightly sinking into the wet ground of the forest. She shrugged it off, it didn't really bother her. She walked deeper into the forest before beginning to zone out. "Why is it that Natsu is suddenly all i can think about?" she muttered, letting out a breath. She snapped out of thought when she heard a faint roar. She smiled slightly before running towards the sound. "Just what I was looking for!" she hummed, her smile growing wider. After a while, she ran out of breath. Feeling slightly tired, she looked up to find the moon shining down at her. "Night time already?" she panted.
She listened for the roar again, hoping she was close. While listening intently for the roar, she hear the silent drizzle of a nearby river. Guess I'll take a little break before running again. She listened for the river again, and found it rather easily. she walked towards the sound, and then realizing it was rather far away, began running again. she finally found it, and what she heard was actually a waterfall. "Wow.." she said breathlessly.
"Amazing, isn't it?" said a feminine voice. Jumping back, she turned around to come face to face with a dragon. Her eyes grew wide as she studied the size of the dragon.
"Hello, my name is Astrid, the queen of dragons. I do believe that you are Lucy Heartfilia, correct?
"Y-yes, that is correct, but how do you know me?" Lucy stuttered, looking into the purple and blue eyes of the dragon. "You resemble your mother from when she was still alive. I am glad that you found your way here. I sensed you enter the forest, so I roared. I am guessing that it helped you." Astrid answered calmly. "You.. you knew my mother?" she asked, tears fighting to fall.
"Yes. She asked me to find you when you came, and I have succeeded in doing so. When would you like to start training?" she then asked Lucy politely. Lucy gasped, before smiling. "Is right now alright?"
"Of course. What power would you like to have? there are many to chose from, you decide." Astrid said.
"Well... How about... uhh..." Lucy mumbled, unsure as to what kind of power she wanted. "I.. I'm not sure.."
"I can understand that you are unsure. Let's start with this. How long to you plan on staying with me?" The dragon asked.
"I don't really know how long I am going to stay.. I suppose how long it takes to train is fine." Lucy answered.
"Well, I am not entirely sure as to how long it may take, but if you'd like, I can teach you every dragon slayer magic type in existence." Astrid then stated clearly.
"I.. I'd love that!" Lucy squealed, jumping up and down.
"Alright. Let's begin tomorrow."
"Okay!" Lucy said happily.
"hop on, I'll show you where the other dragons are." Astrid said.
Lucy walked over to the dragon as Astrid knelled down for her to climb up. Astrid's scales were smooth white, along with the light blue and purple stripes that started at her side and ended on the other. Once Lucy was seated, Astrid's wings snapped open before jumping into the air. As the wind played with her hair, the many stars and the moon invited unconsciousness, causing Lucy to fall asleep.
